Bangkok Restaurant Review: Cafe Tartine

Cafe Tartine – Interior

There are several brunch options on my to-try list in Phloen Chit, but this morning I finally gave in to the Siren’s call of their Pumpkin Chocolate pie and headed to Cafe Tartine. It’s a delightful little French Patisserie style. Fancy enough to feel delightful, yet casual enough not to feel too stuffy.

Cafe Tartine – Pumpkin Soup

I was delighted to see on the specials board as I walked up that the soup of the day was pumpkin, so of course I started with that. The roasted pumpkin seeds on top added a lovely crunch to the mix.

Cafe Tartine – Brie Quiche

Imagine my continued delight when the Quiche of the day featured Brie, Leeks, and … Pumpkin!

Cafe Tartine – Chocolate Pumpkin Pie

Finally, it was time for the Chocolate Pumpkin Pie. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was really happy to find that it’s a pumpkin pie with chocolate crust and a layer of chocolate on top. The candied pumpkin topping added another lovely touch. Lived up to all of my expectations!

But if you’re not into pumpkin, don’t worry, they have plenty of other quiches, tartines, salads, sandwiches, and delicious desserts!
