After I spent an epic 7 days hitting 7 of the most stunning National Parks that the grand’ ol’ US of A has to offer, I had road tripping in my blood. After spending 5 Days in Seattle, taking the train down to Portland, and spending 4 days in Portland, I got myself a one way car rental (and no – I did not score a sweet relocation deal and did pay the hefty one way fee because I could not find a way to avoid it :<) To cruise along the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway aka CA 1) from Portland, OR to Los Angeles, CA.
Here’s the itinerary overview:
- Day 1: Portland to Lincoln City
- Day 2 & 3: Took a breather in Lincoln City, OR
- Day 4: Back on the road – Lincoln City to Bandon, OR (where I stayed in a Yurt!)
- Day 5: Bandon, OR to Ukiah, CA
- Day 6: Ukiah to Point Reyes
- Day 7: Point Reyes to Marin Headlands
- Day 8: Marin Headlands to San Francisco (for a taste of the big city culture)
- Day 9: San Francisco to Yosemite
- Day 10: Yosemite National Park
- Day 11: Yosemite to Kings Canyon/Sequoia then to Paso Robles
- Day 12: Paso Robles to San Simeon
- Day 13: San Simeon (Hearst Castle + Sea Lions!) to San Luis Obispo
- Day 14: San Luis Obispo to to LA
Once I arrived in LA I spent a glorious 1 Week in Los Angeles with my dear friends.
