3 Weeks in Korea Itinerary

I visited Korea last fall for 2 weeks where I split my time between Seoul and the lovely island of Jeju. And although I’d been to Seoul quite recently, when my cousin who works for The Four Seasons hotel said that he was able to get a couple of comp nights at The Four Seasons in Seoul and asked if I would care to join him, I had to think about it for all of 0.002 seconds before saying “Yes!”.

This was before I even quit my job. So then when I decided to rid myself from the mantel of full time employment, this became the jumping off point for my long term travel lifestyle.

I had a little over 3 weeks in South Korea before hopping over to meet a friend from the USA in Japan on September 10th. Here’s a look at how I spent my time:

  • 1 Week in Seoul:
    • Days 1 & 2: Living the life of luxury at The Four Seasons in Seoul
    • Day 3: First official day of my new adventure! Spent the afternoon sharing tea with a lady monk then revisiting the lovely Insa-dong neighborhood.
    • Day 4: Cafe hopping in Bukchon Village
    • Day 5: Hiking in Bukhansan National Park
    • Days 6, 7, & 8: 3 days in Itaewon
  • Day 9:: Best Airbnb stay ever in Cheongpyeong + My First Korean Spa (Jjimjilbang) experience!
  • Day 10::  Nami IslandChuncheon where I did an overnight stay at jjimjilbang
  • Days 11, 12, & 13: My first WWOOFing experience in Hwaseong-si
  • Day 14: Back to Seoul for Jump! theatre show then go to Le Chamber & Alice Speakeasies
  • Days 15, 16, 17, & 18: My second WWOOFing experience at Jirye Arts Village in Andong-si
  • Days 19, 20, & 21 : 3 Days in Gyeongju
  • Days 22 & 23: Golgusa Temple Stay. Travel to Busan.
  • Day 24: 1 Day in Busan
  • Day 25: Fin! Ferry from Busan to Fukuoka, Japan. For 3 Weeks in Japan!
