It’s hard to say the word “brunch” in Bangkok without Gram Gourmet being mentioned. So when I saw that the Bangkok Anti-Boredom Meetup group were having a Brunch Buddies get together at Gram it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get to know more people and get to try this beloved Bangkok brunch spot.
I headed to the Helix Quarter of EmQuartier and was totally wowed. I’m not a mall person, but even I can’t pretend that this winding, Guggenheim like spiral filled with natural light and a spiral of hanging vegetation isn’t totally stunning. Since I’m pretty much a cliche, I went ahead and ordered the Avocado Toast. It’s basic. I’m basic. And I’m fine with that. Because Avocado is just so darned good. Mash it up on a piece of toast and top it with a poached egg and it’s hard to go wrong. And Gram delivered just that.
While I as an American ex-pat still struggle over dining in mall restaurants, Gram Gourmet was a lovely spot for brunch.
